Summer Literacy Competitive Grant Process for Ocean County Organizations
United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (UWMOC) is announcing a competitive grant application process in support of our new Strategic Plan in the focus areas of School Readiness and Early Grade Reading to ensure students are learning, engaged and healthy over the summer months and ready for school in September. Through this grant process UWMOC will identify and partner with community organizations to expand access to high-quality, holistic learning and enrichment opportunities for youth (preschool through 3rd grade) throughout the summer.
This grant process is open to 501c3 nonprofit organizations serving Ocean County residents. The grant cycle will be for June 1, 2018 to August 31, 2018 and will be for a term of 1-year.
Any organization interested in submitting a grant application for consideration must have at least one representative attend the mandatory Summer Literacy grant meeting. If a representative does not attend this meeting, the organization will be not be able to apply for funding through this competitive grant process. The meeting will be held on:

Applications, eligibility requirements and full details on the Summer Literacy grant process will be presented at the mandatory Summer Literacy Grant Meeting on January 31st. Any organization interested in applying for funding consideration through this opportunity must attend the grant meeting.
