Strengthening Nonprofits
The Volunteer Center recruits non-profit agencies and potential volunteers to participate in the internet-based matching site, as well as ongoing maintenance and training of the site. The Volunteer Center coordinates Day of Caring group volunteering projects, and provides information and resources for the general non-profit community.
COMMUNITY RESOURCE DESIGNATIONS
United Way of Monmouth County facilitated the distribution of over $900,000 to more than 300 non-profit organizations in 2009.

The Volunteer Center maintains the database and recruits volunteers for disaster response and recovery; public relations for NJ Disaster for disaster response and recovery; public relations for NJ Disaster.
