Community Impact Transformation

On August 5, 2008, United Way of Monmouth County formally announced our plans to transition our United Way to become an organization that is truly focused on making lasting and measureable change in our community, a process referred to as Community Impact. Over the past year, we have engaged a wide spectrum of the county in a comprehensive assessment to develop specific, measureable goals and objectives in the focus areas of Education, Income and Health.

We are pleased to announce that at their September 15th meeting, the UWMC Board of Directors approved the Income Impact Plan and at their October 27th meeting, the Education & Health Impact Plans were likewise approved. Please refer to the respective sections of this website for the full impact plans as well as the slides from those announcement meetings.

The Board of Directors also has approved October 1, 2010 as the start date of the new Community Impact funding cycle. Multi-year funding will be phased in over a 3-year timeframe. Mandatory Technical Assistance meetings will be scheduled for each of the 3 Impact areas.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 732-938-5988.
